Too cute almost 2 year old!

What a fun session! This little guy was as sweet as can be. The perfect age try out this little red vintage car.

 

And you all know me by now... what would an outdoor session be without a silhouette? I love this image! If you look really close you can see a smile on little T's face!

How cool is this mom?  I always thought this would be a really neat shot and she humored me :)   T had tons of fun painting her too! Signs of what's to come when his little sister arrives? Hmmm, lock up the paints! I speak from experience. I am told my older sister covered me from head to toe with permanent magic marker not long after I was born :(

Posting-Palooza

Phew...the blog is back. Well sort of, I am using a friend's laptop tonight that seems to accept the new Typepad features. This laptop is a MAC so bear with me if you see odd keystrokes or typos. Never worked on a MAC before.

But wow, what a relief to finally be posting again.  I am going to post a bunch of sessions in one swoop here.

The one that melted my heart

Five weeks old and oh so much personality already. I really enjoyed meeting and working with his parents. They are beautiful people, inside and out.

Oh but this little guy-This picture totally melted my heart. His eyes ...sigh.

A full head of hair on this beautiful baby

I could have held her all day.  Such a pretty baby and a beautiful sister too. Lots of pink for this household. Though, I don't think the Dad minds :) 

And isn't the big sister sweet as can be?

I don't think I have ever photographed such perfectly symmetrical eyes before. 

This was really a fun session. Miss M has so much energy and a little sass that was dying to get out!  I couldn't wait to open up these files and see what we got. I knew there were going to be some great shots!

I forgot to mention these images are for modeling comp cards. I think she definitely has the "look"!

Mr. A.

Quite the serious one for our weekend session. But I adore photographing him with or without smiles. We took to the grounds of the neighborhood and found some great places to shoot and hide from the sun!   I love this age-while they do make me chase them around, the results are so worth the effort!  Hope you agree T and R!  :)

Blog Issues

Well, I know lots of you are checking in to see what's new this week. I do have some fun stuff to share but unfortunately, I am not able to post any photos right now. Typepad has upgraded our posting options which is great news for users. However, the only function that is working for me is text.

Once this gets straightened out I promise to get some new photos online.

So please keep checking back! 

Edited Sunday afternoon: Blog functions are still down for me. Typepad customer service says "they are working on it'.  In the meantime I have had some great sessions this past week and weekend and can't wait to share them with you. Stay tuned as they will be posted hopefully, soon!

Tweens in a Field

What a fun change of pace to photograph some older girls. And, in what better place than my favorite field? Well, at least till August when it becomes my least favorite field due to the blood hungry bugs trying to get their last supper before the colder weather arrives.

I know Miss R will be patiently stalking the blog for these photos. So here are a few of you two. I will try and get some more online during the day.  :)

"The Greatest Show on Earth"

What a great night at the circus with my family. I love experiencing new things and new adventures with my children. There is so much awe and curiosity in their little minds and they show it all with their expressions.  Last night, it was so amazing to watch Ryder's face light up as we walked through the concourse taking in all the sights and sounds: from the smell of cotton candy to the bright lights of those really expensive spinning light toys. Max was beside himself too, especially seeing all the clowns!  But nothing tops the wonder on both of my boy's faces when the Elephants made their way around the ring. 

                                                

I remember going to the circus as a child, do you? It felt so magical then, I was of wondering if I would feel that excitement as an adult? I did but it was even better now because I got to see it all though my childrens' eyes.

Sweet Saturday Session

I know I am a little late posting these. I am so sorry this weekend totally got away from me.

Saturday I got to photograph this sweet little four month old. What she didn't give in smiles she sure made up in sweetness. I learned today that she came down with a cold, so it wasn't me afterall lol.

I couldn't wait to edit this first image. Happy Mother's Day!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful day despite the tornado warnings! 

All the recent newborn sessions has had me thinking about my first Mother's Day. Max was just 8 weeks old and my husband had gotten a friend to watch Max while we went out to dinner. Well I was going back to work in a week and filled with so many anxious emotions. I was frantic thinking how am I going to leave Max for a whole day when I can barely leave him for two hours to go out to eat??

Well I'll admit I was watching the clock the whole dinner. But going back to work went smoother than I had anticipated.

Though, now five years later, I still can't wait to get back to him (and Ryder too) when I have been out.

So here is to all the moms, new moms and grandmothers out there. Happy Mother's Day!  Feel free to add to the comments section how you spent your Mother's Day!

Newly-Born

Has anyone else noticed that it has been raining newborns lately?

Today I got to meet this sweet little one. It was literally a nail-biting sesssion. Not for me, but the mom. I will admit it was a little touch and go at first, but our patience prevailed. Or maybe it was the way her mom talked so sweetly and softly to her?  So much love there!  Dad was great too, even after getting uh, errr, ummm... pee'd on twice! I told it him could have been worse!

Entwined- Newborn Twins

I really wanted to post these images last night but, I was too tired after our session. I am a little embarrassed to say that I think I was more tired than the twin's mom.

The twins really were so sweet and so good natured. A boy and a girl who loved being snuggled together.  I'll admit I was a little nervous before they arrived. Keeping one baby calm is hard enough, but two of them???   Turns out I had nothing to worry about. These are the easiest newborns I have ever photographed.

So in honor of the twins, I am going to share double the photos today.  I may have to come back and upload more after I get M to school. But I can't wait for all of you readers and their mom to see these images!

 

 

A little sibling love!

Let me just tell you how much I adore this family. C has been bringing her older child to me for what? Two years?  Always adorable, with such classic looks and pretty willing to be in front of the camera. I love photographing her.

So of course I couldn't wait to photograph her and her little brother once Spring got here! I know every parent wants a picture to show the love between their children. And I think this first photo does that pretty well. But the second photo shows just how much they love each other!
